The perfect combination! You like a beautiful natural wood look, tight turns, maintenance-free trucks, lots of grip and easy pumpability?
Then this combination of the KARA surfskate deck and Curfboard trucks and wheels+bearings is definitely not a bad choice.

The surfskate deck made of natural wood veneers is not only beautiful, but with its dimensions of 85×25 cm (33.5″x10″) and a shape optimised for surfskating, it is also ideal for almost all body sizes and skill levels.

Description

This is a standard version of our complete surfskates. If you want to design your own individual board (visually and functionally), we recommend you our Surfskate Configurator. Alternatively, you can also contact us via our Contact form or send us an e-mail.

The innovative and patented Curfboard system uses no bushings or springs. The truck adjusts itself to your weight and riding level. No tightening, no maintenance and no manual adjustments required. At higher speeds, the truck becomes more stable and prevents wobbling at high speeds. Plus, all pump energy is converted directly into forward motion without the need for bushings or springs. And even in the tightest turns, wheelbites (wheels touching the board) are a thing of the past with this special surf skate truck.

Ideal for…

  • any surfskate level, whether you want to start surfskating or already have years of experience
  • anyone between 20 - 100kg (truck automatically adjusts to your weight)

The Curfboard wheels are perfectly matched to the Curfboard trucks. They offer you the perfect mix of grip and speed for surf skating. With their proven shape and special formula, these wheels have excellent grip and are fast at the same time to generate speed and enable performance surfskate turns on all types of surfaces (wood, fibreglass, concrete and pavement). They allow controlled sliding and are recognised by many top surfskaters around the world for their excellent performance.

Our decks have an FCS-certified lengthwise and crosswise laminated Paulownia (Kiri) core, the same lightweight wood used in real wooden surfboards. This is encased in outer maple layers and the extremely beautiful, decorative natural wood veneers. There is nothing more wonderful than the beauty of Mother Nature.
Thanks to our unique wooden layer construction, we have reduced the weight of the decks to approx. 1.5-1.7 kg, despite the large width and length as well as the additional, decorative natural wood veneers.

All our surfskate decks are covered on the top with our transparent grip. This gives you maximum grip and safety without losing the beautiful wooden look.

Please note that the real product may vary slightly in colour and grain from the images shown. Wood is a naturally growing product. As such, each grain is unique and cannot be controlled. We try to find a use for each decorative veneer to minimise surplus and therefore environmental impact. The colouring also depends on external influences such as light exposure.

It may be that some decks are already in stock. However, as we are a very small company and we do not want to produce excess, some boards may also only be finished on request. All boards are made by hand. This may result in a delivery time of 2 weeks.
If you would like to receive your board extra quickly and shorten the delivery time, please send an e-mail to info@karaboards.com or contact us via the Contact Form. We will then try our best to shorten the delivery time.

Construction

It is important to us that we do not use any harmful composite materials in the construction of our decks, i.e. no glass or CFRP fibres and no epoxy resin. That's why we tested different wood layer structures to achieve the necessary stiffness while keeping the weight low.

We only use real wood, a water-based and therefore non-toxic glue and organic varnishes.
