Description

In collaboration with the Munich-based brand Curfboard, we are proud to offer solutions that allow you to enjoy surf skating even in winter.
Regardless of whether on ice, propelled by wind, or additionally on hard snow. Are you considering utilising the same setup in the summer as well?
So many options are available here.
Benefit from attractive combined discounts in our winter surf skate configurator.

The Curfboard New Classic Surfskate is the perfect basis for your winter setup thanks to its long wheelbase.
We tested many surfskate trucks on ice and found that Curfboard trucks are by far the easiest to pump on ice.

Together with the Curfboard Ice Blades, you can pump on frozen lakes, ponds or ice rinks just like you would on a normal surfskate.

Are you a wingfoiler, but the local lakes are covered in thick ice? No problem. Grab your ice surfskate and catch the wind with the wings from Vayu, available at a reduced price in the combo package. It's amazing how close this setup comes to real wingfoiling.

Would you like to use the setup on hard snow as well? Then order the discounted KARA snow skids for skateboards included in the package.

Of course, you can also order the original Curfboard wheels for summer right away – the perfect all-season surfskate solution!

Info Ice Skids

Ice is only frozen water! That’s what we had in mind when developing these blades. You can now extend your surfskate season throughout the winter months by simply exchanging your wheels with our blades. Training surf moves on ice or just cruise across these frozen waters, or even use a kite or wing to propel you further, are just a few of the new possibilities these blades create for you.

The Curfboard Ice Blades give you the ultimate surf feeling of your Curfboard on ice, whether it’s on lakes, ponds or the local ice rink. You’ll be surprised how fast you can go and how easy it is to pump the board from a standstill to full speed. Carving turns, sliding the tail, it’s all possible. Let’s take your surfskating to a new dimension!

Developed with passion and endless hours of testing over 5 years we optimized the shape and grind of the blades to perfectly match our Curfboard surfskate truck system.

Components

  • 4 stainless steel ice blades (2 left-sided, 2 right-sided, 200 x 57 x 5 mm), designed and manufactured in Germany.
  • Suitable to be mounted on any standard skateboard truck with 8 mm diameter axis.

Info Snow Skids

These snow skids for skateboards are our own development. The long, snowy and therefore skate-free winter months in the Allgäu region have taken their toll on us. The following idea arose from this hardship: Remove skateboard wheels and instead mount runners with integrated ball bearings on the same surfskate truck system. The sledding hill around the corner can already be converted into a winter skate park.

The idea was simple, but as with every invention, there were a few initial difficulties.
On the one hand, such skids were not available for purchase. So we had to use our own 3D printer to develop some prototypes. After a few iterations, we were satisfied with the shape and found that it works really well on small hills with relatively hard snow.

But not only on small hills, also on flat tracks we have fun as passionate wingfoilers with our wings and the snowskates during winter.

Infos Vayu Aura 4 Wing

The new VAYU Aura V4 series is an improved version of the popular Aura. A primary change is the transition from handles to boom only for improved handling and less weight. The Leading Edge tube is reduced in diameter by 4% and constructed of a combination of ALUULA FX86, Challenge DKC 160 and Teijin Dacron for durability and strength. The DKC 160 middle strut is also smaller in diameter and reconfigured to a Carbon Boom-only shape. The canopy utilizes a new lower-drag, refined aerodynamic profile and is a combination of high-quality Teijin 5×5 and 2×2 ripstop material with Dimension-Polyant T835 X-Ply windows. Aura V4 also offers the option of VAYU’s exclusive Click-Boom which allows the convenience of one boom for multiple wing sizes. The VAYU Aura V4 continues the balance, stability and playful handling of the Aura in a lightweight yet durable package for a wide range of conditions and uses.

KEY FEATURES

  • Reduced Leading Edge diameter or lower drag and lighter handling.
  • Refined front handle: thinner, ergonomic, and optimized for control.
  • More hand clearance around center strut for improved grip.
  • Delivered with Carbon Boom.
  • Click Boom Compatible

TRI-FORM 3X
TRI-FORM 3X is VAYU’s proprietary three-material Leading Edge technology, combining ALUULA DCC 160 with dual-
density Dacron in a layered construction. Each material is placed with purpose: ALUULA provides ultra-high tensile
strength and minimal stretch; the outer Dacron layers offer abrasion resistance and directional flex control. Together, they form a high-stiffness, low-weight skeleton that resists deformation under load, enhances canopy tension, and improves response at every wind angle. Engineered for
durability, aerodynamic stability, and consistent power delivery.

FLOW GRID
FLOW GRID is VAYU’s engineered canopy structure based on a Progressive Canopy Layout that blends multiple Teijin fabric densities to optimize performance across the wing. Reinforced sections deliver strength and stability where it’s needed most, while lighter materials reduce overall weight and
improve reactivity. This smart zoning enhances canopy tension, improves power control, and creates a crisp, responsive feel
in all conditions, whether you’re pumping onto foil or holding steady at full speed.

POWERED BY ALUULA
At the heart of our wing lies Aeris FX-86, an ultralight Aluula composite positioned in the center of the Leading Edge, the
most critical zone for stiffness and load transfer. This advanced material delivers unmatched strength-to-weight performance,
reducing flex under pressure and enhancing upwind drive and control. The result: quicker acceleration, improved handling in gusts, and a lighter, more reactive feel in every move.

CLICK-BOOM READY
Fully CLICK-BOOM READY, featuring reinforced boom mounts
and optimized handle spacing to seamlessly integrate with VAYU’s Click-Carbon-Boom system. The one-size boom fits all
compatible wings (3.0 to 5.5). It’s quick to mount, easy to travel with, and and reduces uncesseary gear.

Usage Information Skids

WARNING: Skating with ice and snowskate skids can be dangerous.
Use only at your own risk.
- Not a toy: Not suitable for children under 20kg and/or 14 years. Max. Weight 100kg / 220lbs
- Improper use may result in injury.
- NO changes may be made that would compromise safety
- Use the following protective equipment: Hand/wrist protection, knee protection, head protection and elbow protection.
- Your board must be checked before each use to ensure that the steering is set correctly and that all connecting parts are firmly in place.

By taking the following safety precautions you will have the most fun and minimise the risk of hurting yourself and others.
- Use a leash. We recommend connecting your skateboard to your body with a leash. Otherwise, if you are not careful, your skateboard may slide down the hill uncontrollably and endanger other people.
- Make sure that the top surface of your skateboard offers enough grip, even if it is covered with snow.
- Don't skate down hills that are too steep and don't go too fast. We recommend that you approach slowly and bit by bit. Only go as fast as you feel safe. These skates are not designed to go down the hill at high speeds. Control your speed by using your skateboard axles and making controlled turns.
- For braking, we recommend that you take a very tight turn.
- The skids are not designed for jumping. We have not yet managed to damage skids by jumping. Nevertheless, we do not recommend jumping with them. That is not what we designed them for. Depending on the skateboard deck and axle used, it can also happen that a skid turns 180 degrees during a jump and therefore no longer lands on the running surface.
- Always be aware of your surroundings and your fellow human beings. Skate responsibly.
- Do not skate alone. It is always good to have a second person with you in case something unexpected happens.
